Clover and Stars Basket (49.5″ x 25″)

I have long admired this antique rug design!  It wasn’t until I needed a rug for the floor of my newly painted bedroom that I decided to try my hand at hooking it.  Following the colors of the original rug, I let the basket take center stage and kept the rest of the rug simple. Notice how most of the motifs are outlined with thin line of red (I used #6 cuts for the outlines).  The background is a deep blue plaid with hints of teal.  Perfection!
